SSENSE is looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Sys Admin to join our team. This position will be responsible for growing and maintaining our AWS environment as well as our office infrastructure. Our IT team is a close group of individuals who can count on each other for support and assistance. We strive to do our best at everything we do and aim to complete every task better than expected.
Grow and maintain our server and network environment hosting our business applicationsProvide Level 2 and 3 technical support, assist in the evaluation of new products and services.Implement and maintain system management software, as well as research, analyze, and implement software patches and hardware modifications to resolve deficienciesPlan and execute upon technical solutions to allow us to maintain our rapid growthMaintain and monitor performance of our servers and network to ensure high availabilityAssists in the recommendation of strategies for data center and infrastructure management from business continuity, disaster recovery, monitoring, storage, security.Assist with creation and implementation of IT policies and proceduresHardware and software auditing to ensure complianceParticipate in our on-call after hours support rotationOther duties may be added and/or assigned as required

Computer Science certificate (University degree a plus) or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years related experienceThorough understanding of provisioning tools: Such as Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), LANrev or othersSolid experience with cloud hosting services such as Azure or AWSSolid experience with Active Directory implementation and integration (Including Mac OS)Good knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2012.Solid Experience with networking and firewall administration (Cisco certification preferred)Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or ZabbixWorking understanding of Backup Infrastructure and proceduresWorking knowledge of Identity and Access management, AD, LDAP and other commercially available solutions
