  • Job Specification:
    Management of personnel within the Quality department. The Quality department is responsible for the following functions: Testing of manufactured product, testing of incoming materials as required, Microbiological testing of product and environment, Stability and Transportation testing.

    Management of Out of Specification results, Non-Conformances, Deviation and other relevant Quality Systems issues which relate to the QC department.
    Maintain and enhance the current system of Tracking and Trending QC results and implement additional recording and analysis as appropriate.
    Input into Change Control and Document Control Systems.
    Ensuring that all customer specific quality requirements are compiled with following contract review.
    Leading complaint investigations through interaction with the subject matter experts.
    Key member of the Operations Management Team and Corporate Quality Team.
    Commercial & Market/Customer Awareness
    Strategic Planning / Change Management

    Desirable Skills:

    Balanced cost/quality/customer focus.
    Willingness and ability to collaborate with and influence other groups in a positive, team-based environment. Must also be able to hold others to account as required.
    Work with a sense of urgency and have the ability to be impartial and objective.
    Be an active learner and developer of self and others with excellent organisational skills.
    Primary degree qualification in a science or equivalent subject.
    3-5 years industrial experience, preferably in the IVD industry.
    Experience in project management of change programs.
    Extensive experience of Quality Control and related processes including accelerated and real-time stability programmes.
    Firsthand experience of audits by regulatory authorities. Ideally will have participated in FDA, HPRA and/or other regulatory authority audits.
    Experience managing a team and should have a demonstrated track record and success in team building skills.
    Strong analysis/problem solving skills.
    Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple functions.
    Ability to gain consensus on key quality/operational decisions.
    A logical and planned approach to all tasks.
