I am recruiting a number of positions at all levels, to join a new, highly talented, client facing research team composed of computer arithmetic experts, Mathematicians, Electronics and Software Engineers, tasked with becoming the best mathematical hardware design team in the world. A very strong Mathematics ability with hardware,RTL, VHDL or C++ skills are essential but more important is the ability to use them concurrently in novel, challenging conceptual development projects.
The team is expanding and the roles offer a rare opportunity to become a true subject specialist in computer arithmetic architecting, design, optimization, verification and utilisation, enabling synergistic software and hardware IP development.
Your remit will include - Research into advanced techniques for implementing a wide range of numerical hardware, becoming a Computer Arithmetic Expert in the process. Design and implementation of optimised numerical RTL. Research into and perform full verification on numerical designs combining formal simulation techniques. Own, develop, diagnose improve various parts of fundamental arithmetic component generation code.
The work is extremely interesting and ground breaking and as such the requirements are quite demanding and will include - An excellent academic background, ideally resulting in a Maths or Electronics focused PhD. Front End Numerical Hardware RTL Design Experience. Solid Mathematical Background. Solid Object Oriented Programming C++ Skills. Creative Analytic Problem Solving Skills.
Nice to haves include - Understanding of Floating-Point Arithmetic and Implementation. Formal Verification.
These positions are to join the flagship team of a global Semiconductor company and will be working alongside some of the brightest engineers, tasked with solving the most difficult problems in mathematical hardware design, verification and computer arithmetic.
