Job Title: Night Shift Area Manager Reports to (Job Title): Manufacturing Section Manager
The Night Shift Area Manager has sole responsibility for the site on night shift.
The Night Shift Area Manager has responsibility to manage all manufacturing areas on night shift.
Provide leadership and oversight in planning, organising and controlling production functions through effective use of available resources across departments on night shift.
They will provide updates to site leadership on their areas' performance and will be expected to achieve challenging operational metrics in quality, safety, service and cost. Minimum requirements Major Accountabilities
1. Manage Manufacturing areas on nights to meet scheduled production demands for both internal and external customer service expectations. 2. Ensure area is adequately resourced and associates have the correct skills mix, are fully trained, motivated and empowered to achieve their objectives. Maintain high morale within departments; handle personnel problems fairly and honestly in a timely manner. Manage the above across all areas of responsibility on night shift. 3. Support Continuous Improvement of productivity, yield, processes and cost. Implement Cycletime and cost reduction initiatives and drive lean manufacturing initiatives across their area of responsibility. 4. Assure product meets all quality and regulatory standards. Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving company QS requirements 5. Role model the company values and behaviors and the quality behaviours on the night shift. 6. Promote, maintain and improve operational safety. 7. Take measures to reduce waste. Ensure adherence to environmental policy within group. 8. Ensure adherence to all HR Policies and Procedures for all direct reports on the night shift. 9. Deal with disciplinary issues as required in conjunction with Department Management and HR. 10. Promote collaboration and communication across all areas on the Night Shift.
Number of associates: 75-100 across departments (including dotted line reports)
