We design and supply the unique electronic components and sub-systems to meet future vehicle system needs.JobdescriptionThe TCL is an OEM customer facing role, with responsibility to understand and influence requirements for future products. The TCL is familiar with the ADAS, HUD, Components and Connectivity product lines of Magna Electronics, and understands our capabilities and strengths. The TCL works with one or more major OEM customers, across all product lines. The purpose of the role is to improve our product alignment with our customers, which will drive additional business for Magna.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the needs of the Automotive OEM Customers and is very familiar and knowledgeable with the ADAS, HUD, Components and Connectivity Product Lines of Magna Electronics.Be the key customer interface for all technical/engineering topics including product architecture and specification. Build and maintain a strong relationship with the Product Architects in Core Engineering, the Technical Project Leads (TPL) in Application Engineering and with the Product Managers of the Business Line.Work with the Product Architect to determine the best products and solutions to meet our customers' needs.Work collaboratively with the Product Architects to understand future technology roadmaps from key suppliers.Ensure that all customer related expectations and requirements are being considered in the Business Acquisition & Quotation ProcessThe TCL may be required to lead a "concept development" or "extended quotation" process from a technical perspective, which goes beyond the typical RFI/RFQ process.Work with customer at project initiation to analyze the customer requirements and to align these requirements with the product concept.Manage and negotiate customer requirements, change requests, and unwritten expectations.Ensure that customer expectations are documented in an unambiguous, clear, and understandable way.Training /EducationBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science Engineering (Master's preferred)Experience10+ years' relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) in serial development. Automotive electronic (mandatory).Experience in OEM customer facing roles.KnowledgeDeep and comprehensive knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive fieldDeep and comprehensive knowledge of OEM customer requirements in the ADAS, connectivity and components automotive business.Excellent technical knowledge of automotive electronics products. Familiar with typical automotive OEM requirements. Can anticipate customer requirements, even if not stated in customer documentation.Experienced in use of requirements management tools. Familiar with concepts such as baselining, inheritance etc.Working knowledge of applicable standards, including IS0 26262, ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC TR 15504.Able to work effectively in a global environmentAble to work in a cross functional diverse teamAble to present complex technical topics internally and externallyExcellent communication skillsTravel (domestic and international) may be neededAdvanced knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel)Comprehensive knowledge of analysis and engineering toolsComprehensive knowledge of English (speak & write)For roles in non-English speaking locations, excellent local language skills are preferable and may be mandatory.
