Tasks & responsibilities As Technical Assistant you plan, execute and analyse independently in vivo pharmacological experiments . You independently establish, optimize, plan, perform and analyse different immunological in vitro assays including MACS, FACS, MSD, ELISA and ELISPOT. You characterize novel therapeutically active antibodies or small molecules using biochemical or cellular assays. The performance of in vitro cell culture experiments including expansion of tumour cells, isolation of different cell populations is part of your role. You are responsible for the maintenance of technical equipment (for example FACS machines).
Requirements Technical education (MTA, BTA, PTA, Technical Assistant) or equivalent, BSc or MSc in biology, immunology or a related field Strong expertise and hands-on experience with in vivo models of cancer such as syngeneic models and the required permission/certificates (e.g. Felasa B certificate) are mandatory Proficiency in data analysis software including FlowJo, GraphPrism, ImmunoSpot®, FCAP Array, Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point Experience in some ex vivo and in vitro immunological assays such as e.g. ELISA, ELISpot, intracellular cytokine staining and and the required permission/certificates (e.g. Felasa B certificate) are mandatory (ICS), cytokine bead array (CBA), multi-color flow analysis Excellent communication and presentation skills, also in English Ability to be both an effective team player and strong individual contributor; flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and deliver high quality results under tight timeline About us Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the world's 20 leading pharmaceutical companies.
