Senior Electronics Engineer
Are you an Electronics Engineer with extensive analogue design experience and a desire to continue to improve on both a personal and professional level? Are you keen to learn new skills in a highly multidisciplinary environment? If so then read on!
An instrumentation company who specialise in the design and manufacture of a range of sensors & systems for the oceanographic, maritime, environmental, defence, homeland security & industrial process control markets are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer with at least five years relevant experience to work on instrumentation and acoustic systems.
The successful Senior Electronics Engineer needs specific expertise in analogue circuit design, preferably in an instrumentation development environment as well as:
* A degree in Electronic Engineering, ideally with a Master's and/or PhD
* Experience with power supply technology and op-amp circuits
* Experience in analogue-digital conversion, interfacing (eg I2C, SPI bus, etc.), CAD schematic layouts and PCB design
Some experience or knowledge of Microprocessor based circuit design and Embedded software would be desirable. The Senior Electronics Engineer will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team contributing to all aspects of the product development cycle from requirement analysis through design & development into production.
The work will involve both new product development (design & test), existing product development (fault finding/improvement/enhancement); mixed signal design including preamplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications. Typical projects include low-noise hydrophone preamplifier design and multichannel data logger design.
Candidates must be suitable for SC security clearance with the UK Ministry of Defence; a current UK passport is required. A driving license would be of benefit, as some travel will be involved in the role.
