Quality Control Tech, Civil / Construction Nr ref.: /JOBS.pl Have you completed your Civil Engineering Technology education or a similar construction-related program? Aquanorth Contracting is looking for a Quality Control Technician / Technologist to travel to various job sites across the GTA. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of quality standards, methods and procedures. If you enjoy the technical aspects of construction - keep reading! At Aquanorth Contracting, our Quality Control Technician / Technologist will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for: Monitoring and administering the QA/QC plan or program; ensuring incorporated materials on construction projects are compliant with the plans and specifications Liaising with Project Managers, Field staff and Manufacturers to ensure compliance with project specifications and manufacturers' recommendations Providing support and mentor staff ensuring that quality is effectively practiced on a daily basis Developing quality management programs (QMP) including related policies, directives, operating procedures, forms and templates, and support documents Reviewing, tracking and summarizing quality assurance non-conformances and ensuring appropriate follow-up action is taken Facilitating root cause analysis and assist with action plans Completing regular visits to project sites; maintaining daily checklists, quality control reports, and audits Managing repository for controlled documents Assisting with equipment management, control, maintenance and certification Ensuring that environment is in compliance with Aquanorth Contracting Health & Safety policies and procedures Assisting with material testing as well as reviewing project specific plans regarding quality The qualifications and experience you bring: Completed Civil Engineering Technology at the Technician or Technologist level OR relevant program Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Effective oral and written communication skills The assets that will make you likely to succeed: Experience throughout the construction project level on a full-time basis Experience in building envelope systems, or Quality Control certification Detailed knowledge of construction methodology, process and sequence Strong leader with problem solving skills and the ability to take initiative Ability to review and comprehend drawings and technical specs with a solid understanding of the scope of work Strong ability to read and understand codes, standards, specifications and other technical documents Excellent interpersonal communication skills to demand the respect of all stakeholders and communicate with diverse groups Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external Detail oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines More about us: With over 25 years in the business, Aquanorth is one of the leading waterproofing companies providing services to Industrial, Commercial and Institutional buildings across Ontario.
