Role: Electronic Systems/Electrical/Combat Systems/Safety/Mechanical Engineer
Salary: £30,500 - £42,990 + attractive package
Relocation Allowance: Up to £8,000
Our client is seeking individuals with a broad base of Engineering skills, ideally with knowledge and experience of working within the defence and/or maritime industry, though they are eager to see applications from outside the defence and maritime industry too.
To be considered you should be able to demonstrate extensive skills as an Engineer that are transferable to a marine environment - Any exposure to complex systems from an Automotive, Rail, Oil and Gas, Telecoms and Aerospace background for example would be perfect.
From your recent roles you must be able to demonstrate that your Engineering knowledge is not purely hands on: You must be able to show where and how you have reviewed and enhanced plans etc. not just implemented them. At the more senior level the role requires you to show leadership & management within an Engineering environment too.
Key to these positions is your ability to review designs and enhance their application, this must at all time take into account Safety aspects and again at the senior level being able to demonstrate skills in making Safety Critical Decisions will be required.
