We are seeking a highly motivated Fundraising Development Manager with significant fundraising experience, to manage all aspects of the charity from inception through to delivery and beyond, in accordance with the strategic objectives set by the Board of Trustees for the benefit of the people of Manchester. The successful person will secure sustainable income growth against agreed targets for all of the main fundraising areas including legacies, major donors, individual giving, digital, retail and corporate fundraising. The successful candidate must have expert knowledge of the charity / not for profit sector, including the statutory framework and a deep understanding / experience of charity fundraising models and techniques. Fundraising Development Manager Key Role Descriptors: The role holder will effectively lead and manage the We Love Manchester Charity in accordance with the strategic objectives set by the Board of Trustees for the benefit of the people of Manchester. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the role holder will develop strategies and plans to achieve the Charity's vision and objectives. This will include securing sustainable income growth against agreed targets for all of the main fundraising areas including legacies, major donors, individual giving, digital, retail and corporate fundraising. The role holder will also identify and drive opportunities for projects and initiatives which are aligned with the Charity's objectives from inception through to delivery and beyond. This will include generating ideas for projects, proactively identifying delivery partners and sponsors and supporting these through to the delivery phase and beyond. Fundraising Development Manager Key Role Accountabilities: Develop and maintain Fundraising and other strategies to support the delivery of the Charity's objectives. Working with key partners in the public and private sector, to lead and support on the identification, development and delivery of the Charity's projects, securing maximum benefit for the people ofManchester. Successfully build, develop, manage and influence client relationships to ensure the Charity's objectives and secure medium to long term support for the Charity through regular liaison and updates to take advantage of all potential sponsorship opportunities that might be realised. Prepare reports, briefings and presentations to relevant bodies and organisations including the Board of Trustees, ensuring that the Charity's activities are effectively communicated and to develop and manage innovative high profile promotional and marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the Charity. To work with finance and legal to manage and monitor income and expenditure budgets related to the work of the Charity including statutory returns and reporting. Critically review and appraise the Charity's project portfolio and evaluate the benefits that projects have delivered for the people ofManchesterand their ongoing legacy.
