Purchasing Global Category Manager (m/f) Our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems is one of the world's leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical primary packaging and analytical lab services. More than 600 production lines in 13 countries worldwide produce more than 10 billion syringes, vials, ampoules, cartridges and special articles of tubing glass or polymer. Currently we are looking for a Purchasing Global Category Manager (m/f) - Semi-finished Plastic/Rubber Parts. Your profile: * Commercial and/or technical university/college level, at least on Bachelor preferable on Master level * Minimum 3 years occupational experience, thereof at least 2 years within strategic purchasing or any other relevant area (depending on category scope) * Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated environment and semi-finished Plastic/Rubber Parts business * Fluency in English, good level in German, further language skills are an advantage * Inspirational, effective communicator and persuasive presenter; can listen and has strong negotiation skills * Creative and pragmatic problem solver with a strong strategic mindset * Strong analytical skills * Ability to work in teams * Understanding of relevant business laws e.g. for contracting Your tasks: * Develop global category strategies to optimize value generation for our business, includes generating the required transparency e.g. on internal demand and relevant supply markets (pharmaceutical rubber components and plastic parts) * Manage and execute purchasing and supply management activities in the global categories in his/her responsibility, also including compliance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) * Achieve purchasing targets and lead the internal purchasing planning process for the categories under his/her responsibility * Ensure the strategies remain updated and are aligned with relevant function and business units * Build up strong partnership and lead price and contract negotiations with suppliers * Report and monitor global categories performance (using standardized KPIs) * Lead cross functional cooperation for global categories * Ensure timely involvement of cross BU, cross-functional Sourcing Council(s) for guidance and decision making * Represent global categories in relevant forums and meetings Your benefits: Motivated and committed employees are essential to the success of our company.
