Due to our continuing success and expansion, we are currently looking for experienced Medical Officer with Respiratory experience. Office or home based role, anywhere in Europe.
Summary of the position:
The Medical Officer has responsibility for supporting the medical, safety and scientific aspects of clinical trials, as conducted by Chiltern and assigned. The Medical Officer will provide support and advice to the project teams, clinical sites and sponsors, as needed. Support local, international and global business opportunities for Chiltern.
• Primary Medical qualification, M.D. or regional equivalent, e.g. MBBS • Experience of working as a Respiratory Physician or Medical Officer on Respiratory studies • Minimum 3 -- 5 + years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee data and information during interactions with staff at all levels • Minimum of 2-5 years post-graduate experience Academic, Clinical or pharmaceutical industry Research (pharma or CRO) • Medical Registration • Experience in Academic, Clinical or pharmaceutical industry Research (pharma or CRO) • Demonstrated level-specific ability to conduct medical activities effectively, efficiently and with a moderate of supervision • Thorough understanding of the principles of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements • Experienced in performing medical monitoring duties and prepared to deal with a high volume of Medical Monitoring • Experienced in client consultancy from a similar CRO business model is preferred. • Working knowledge of MS Office programs • The ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
Positions can be either office-based or home-based, but work will be required away from Chiltern offices, at Sponsor offices, and may require national or international travel. May also involve travel to meetings or attendance at conferences. Overnight stays may be required. In addition weekend and evening sessions may be required depending upon the workload and nature of current programmes.
