We are seeking for our company in Krefeld to recruit a Maintenance & Reliability Manager (m/w) PURPOSE: Manage maintenance of company assets in order to achieve maximum plant reliability and increase performance efficiency. Provide leadership, technical knowledge and maintenance experience while promoting an environment conducive to knowledge sharing, change and innovation. Change management and strong people leadership are core competencies for this role. MAJOR TASKS: * Reliability excellence governance (develop, align & implement re practices & programs) * Organize, plan, lead, control and coordinate maintenance activities * Support local alignment, deployment and execution of Business Unit reliability excellence vision, strategy and processes to change reliability culture * Ensure optimum utilization and development of the facility Asset Management System * Ensure compliance with local/country/European regulations and all business unit/facility policies and procedures as related to safety, environment, HACCP, ISO 9002, GMO * Ensure effective processes are in place for shutdown planning and procedures * Operational effectiveness/continuous improvement/prevention - maintain & repair * Manage process and plant equipment reliability and availability, work processes and operational effectiveness and efficiency * Promote a predictive/preventive and innovative work environment * Deploy a continuous improvement process based on gaps identification and elimination, performing BU audits/assessments and follow up on actions * Monitor repairs through systems and controls (i.e. CMMS) to ensure work orders and requests are executed in accordance to established work flow * Oversee and ensure department's compliance with the facility's FEHS plans * Conduct accident or near-miss investigations * Review, analyze, and develop conclusions in regards to M&R metrics and performance. Lead and support audit compliances and root/cause analysis processes within the maintenance team * Project planning, contract/vendor management * Maximize and utilize suppliers'/contractors' capabilities through a continuous program of contracts review * Actively contribute to the capital planning process (project identification & scheduling), preparing relevant capital commitment information for assigned project work * Ensure that maintenance resources are available to participate in the key steps of a capital project to ensure information/knowledge about equipment reliability and maintainability are transferred to the project team * Best practice application, training & support * Review existing organization, work methods to identify gaps and ensure alignment with Maintenance and Reliability Centre of Excellence practices * Coach and counsel employees * Improve work processes and operating efficiencies * People/Budget management * Track maintenance expenditure, make adjustments as needed and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders * Develop, submit and follow through with projects to meet or beat operational expectations, budget and timeline * Responsible for people management activities including recruiting, retention, development and engagement QUALIFICATIONS: * Master degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering * 5+ years' experience in maintenance or operation at medium to large plant operations * Demonstrated experience in leading M&R function in a complex facility * Experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment; chemical/starch industry is a plus * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German * Personal drive and commitment for M&R processes and strategies * Promoter of innovation, adaptable and focused on process improvements OUR OFFER: In return for your expertise and commitment, we will provide a fast paced stimulating international environment, which will stretch your abilities and channel your talents.
