We're looking for a talented Coding Specialist to join our team in Bratislava! This is an entry level position and training will be provided. Candidates should, however, have Pharmacy of Life Science degree (or equivalent) in order to be considered.
Responsible for coding clinical/medical terminology (e.g. adverse events, medical history) in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Working Practice Documents (WPDs), and any applicable sponsor documentation. In addition to overseeing project-related timelines and workflow, this position serves as key point of contact in interactions with sponsors on behalf of the organization and assists in the training and development of junior staff.
You'll be Accountable for:
Classifying medical (procedures/adverse event/medical history, etc.) and pharmaceutical (drug) coding terms utilizing Oracle Clinical, MedDra, WHODrug, and Thesaurus Management System (TMS) dictionaries Ensuring consistency of coding across projects by cross checking the TMS dictionary with current terms entered into Oracle Clinical Assisting with other projects/activities related to medical coding and dictionary maintenance as required Training on, and following, sponsor's Standard Operating Procedures as applicable Providing consistent and accurate coding using standardized dictionary terminologies Managing assigned project timelines and prioritization of tasks Maintaining a clinical understanding of medical terminology, clinical research development, adverse event reporting, and standardized dictionaries Clarifying information through communication with data management and Clinical Operations when terms are inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes Keeping abreast of coding guidelines Reviewing data for consistency and bring concerns to supervisor or department manager for resolution Overseeing Coding project relating to timelines, workflow, and coordination of coding work activities
