Type: Interim (contract)
My government client is looking for a Category Manager to work in the Property Procurement Team to establish a new construction framework.
*The main tasks will be managing procurement projects including:
-Project Management of the tender exercise to establish a new Construction Framework (PQQ, ITT)
-Leading on undertaking tenders/mini-competitions for appointment of consultancy/architectural companies and building contractors via routes to market as appropriate (a mix of collaborative 2 stage appointments, mini-competitions via Framework, stand-alone competitive tenders).
*Experienced construction procurement professional with a background procuring the valuation surveyors, developers and contractors for large scale projects and residential development.
*A background in commercial, housing and regeneration implementing arrangements under which the organisation can engage and develop long term.
*Has experience in preparing and/or coordinate all PQQ and ITT documentation working with internal staff and external professional advisers. A vital component will be the commercial pricing model.
*Has the skills to put in place a project governance structure to manage progress, cost control and change control.
*The ability to work with external valuers and legal advisers and ensure mutual understanding and benefit to all parties.
*Coordinates commercial and qualitative evaluation of tenders, prepares recommendations for approval of contract awards following tender evaluation and costed appraisals.
Experience in Public Sector is highly desirable. The deadline for Submissions is Friday 30th September at 6pm
