Supply Chain Manager - Bid Support Nr ref.: /JOBS.pl Supply Chain Manager - Bid Support Location: London Summary Participates in the development of and executes action plans to meet global supply chain strategies: including sourcing strategies and global supplier network capabilities for key commodities and spend categories to achieve broad business objectives. Recommends and executes supply chain strategies to support new offerings, improve service and reduce costs. Leads work groups from across the enterprise to address complex interdisciplinary issues affecting significant business issues. Executes action plans for contracting, supplier management, business partnering and savings. Executes strategies to address feedback from supply chain and business stakeholders to ensure objectives are met. Provides expert supply chain perspective and makes recommendations to Supply Chain management and business colleagues. Maintains excellent working relationships with strategic business stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and to support the business in achievement of its outcomes. Provides supply chain support to the business in pursuit of more complex new business opportunities. Negotiates more complex, corporate-wide agreements with suppliers encompassing key programme specifications, functional objectives and savings. Follows Corporate, Regional and Supply Chain policies and procedures. Identifies policy/procedure gaps and brings them to the attention of Supply Chain management. Makes recommendations and/or decisions regarding supply chain strategies and issues. Collects metrics to optimise sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies, and works collaboratively with global and regional team members to prioritize and drive implementation. Serves as global expert on industry best practices and technology trends to team members and business partners. Essential Job Functions Description Executes global supply chain functions including policies, practices and procedures ensuring financial and strategic goals are attained. Executes global supply chain functions including global sourcing, category management, contracting, supplier management, business partnering, organisational alignment and staff performance to support supply chain strategies. Provides support to the business in pursuit of more complex new business opportunities. Provide supply chain related input to bid teams and act as an interface/single point of contact between the individual bid team members (technical solution, finance, commercial, sales and bid management) on the one side and supply chain management and suppliers on the other side. Identification and evaluation of forecast data Lead and perform at Due Diligence: survey and analysis of third party contracts (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) Partner Management Managing and executing Teaming agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MoU's), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's), Letters of Intent (LOI's) Working closely with our commercial teams, manage the flow downs/back to back terms and conditions with our third parties Executes the Supply Chain agenda in support of key objectives across assigned internal customers Provides an expert Supply Chain perspective on major projects/contracts/categories/supplier performance management/spend strategies when collaborating with executive management and business colleagues Has prime accountability for coordinating/completing major contracts impacting significant business matters Leads analysis and problem solving of Supply Chain global/category/industry issues Implements supply chain strategies to ensure alignment with corporate goals. Collaborates with business stakeholders to achieve savings targets, improve supplier performance, and maximize supplier collaboration to drive the best business outcomes. Identifies and promotes new business related opportunities. Executes best practice policies and procedures Leads more complex contract negotiations Drives use and continued adoption of global supplier contracts. Builds and maintains relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders. Influences decision-making and builds partnerships across the business. Communicates global SCM strategies, focus areas and performance to the Business. The following basic and other qualifications are reflective of the types commensurate with the level of education and experience indicated in this profile and are described relatively within a type of work. Basic Qualifications Description Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Eleven or more years of related experience, ie, technology, business development, strategic alliances/partnering, procurement or professional services Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills Proven success working as part of a team Experience working with concepts, practices, and procedures in areas of responsibility OR Demonstrated strong vendor selection, sourcing and contracting, supplier management, and negotiation skills. Ability to understand and relate technical solutions, analyze benefits of alternative solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations to both CSC and customer management Global and/or large enterprise account experience preferred Other Qualifications Description Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to interface with internal executives and high-level customer representatives; also to analyze, interpret, and present business strategies, best practices, and technical product and service information solutions.
