My client a global law firm is looking to recruit a Communications and Change Manager (Projects),
The role has two key elements:
*Information Systems and Strategy positioning:
oEnsure a flow of appropriate communications to users and stakeholders regarding awareness of Information Systems and Strategy, positioning and key messages.
*User communication/management of change:
oEnsure smooth user implementation of change through a timely and relevant communications and change management approach.
*Develop ISS communications strategy with senior management team.
*Ensure the ISS communications and change approach clearly supports business objectives.
*Promote the importance of communications and change and how it contributes to the overall success of the department.
*Co-ordination of ISS communications events.
Key Responsibilities and Challenges:
Own, develop and implement the plan and activities which support the delivery of key ISS Projects from a communications and management of change perspective.
Oversee and coordinate the activities of any external/3rd party communications and change resource on projects to ensure they align with the ISS.
Consult on the development and implementation of communication plans for complex outages or service upgrades - Provide best practice on the communications for key projects.
Assist with improvements to user-facing communications for handling system outages (planned and unplanned)
Provide advice to tailor/craft messages to their audiences including for globally and culturally diverse parts of the business.
Develop with management a communications plan for ISS with the objective of increasing awareness in the business (rest of business services and the practice) of the strategic direction/position on key topics, projects/initiatives underway (but not yet visible) and progress on resolving known issues
Coordinate the execution of this plan.
Coordinate activities to increase knowledge sharing within ISS (globally) and awareness of our strategic direction, projects/initiatives underway and progress on resolving known issues.
*Highly articulate with excellent presentation skills
*Confident in communicating at any level of the organisation and with external parties.
*Self-motivated, responsible, able to work with minimal supervision and take ownership
*Practical, pro-active and able to make things happen
*Open to suggestions/new ideas & technologies
*Attention to detail
*Willingness to travel
Practical and Essential Skills:
*Experience implementing change programmes within a global organisation.
*Good understanding of the techniques of system development and service management disciplines.
