Our Client, a leading operator in renewable energy, is looking for a Production Manager to work on a wind farm asset in the UK.
The Production Manager will be responsible for the daily Generation and daily work planning for the Offshore Wind farm. The Production Manager's primary responsibility is to work closely with the UK Offshore Strategy & Implementation Manager, who has devised the O&M Strategy for the project and is responsible for the strategy implementation. The role will also liaise closely with the Senior Project Manager, who is responsible for delivering the project to time and budget; the Commissioning Manager who is responsible for the project commissioning and the Offshore O&M Manager who will ultimately take responsibility for the asset once fully operational.
The Production Manager responsibilities will be to:
Control, Operate and Monitor UK Wind Farm Assets
Control site access and release of Plant under the operators Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
Introduce and manage the implementation and usage of the operators Safety Rules for the 132kV Sub Station.
Implement and manage the Marine Co-ordination systems required to optimise the Wind Farm Performance.
Development of all the O&M Safety and other required Management Systems, including drafting, reviewing and auditing as appropriate. Not limited to Policy drafting; Procedure drafting; SMS; ERCOPs ETC; Helicopter flight manual; Audit plans; WTSR; Safe System of Work Management systems; Permit systems; Work Breakdown/planning systems; Insurance management systems; business continuity systems; environmental management systems/plans etc.
Co-ordination of Emergencies for both internal and external parties including 3rd party contracts.
Provide Weather Alerts to site personnel.
Utilise the weather forecasting system to leverage site performance and assist in the planning and scheduling of works.
Development of working relationship with main O&M contractors, including regular meetings suitably focused to ensure contractors readiness.
Skills & Experience:
HNC (or higher) with significant experience/proven track record in a senior role in the Power or Wind sector.
Demonstrate proven leadership qualities and the ability to establish and develop strong cross functional teams.
Have a significant knowledge of, the application of safety rules up to and including 400KV.
Possess a broad experience of Wind Farm/Power Plant O&M optimisation.
Have a working knowledge of plant control and monitoring systems.
Good commercial and electricity trading awareness.
Knowledge of the BETTA (trading arrangements).
Have experience of using computerised maintenance management systems.
Have excellent safety and environmental awareness.
Good communications, numeracy and IT skills.
Wind knowledge and experience desirable.
Will be fully committed and flexible to meet business requirements.
Proven track record within the Electricity supply industry.
Offshore Wind Experience.
Knowledge of the Construction Design & Management Regulation 2015.
